Wetlands Scientist - Delineator

Job Description
Grette Associates is a small environmental consulting firm consisting of biologists, planners, and administrative staff committed to providing exceptional natural resources support for construction, permitting, and planning projects in the Pacific Northwest. Our Tacoma, WA office is hiring a Wetlands Scientist - Delineator to join our team. (Our headquarters are located in Wenatchee, WA)

This is an entry level position. You should have 1-3 years of related experience. Competitive pay based on experience. We are flexible regarding remote work.

You would be responsible for:

• Wetland delineations, assessments and feasibilities
• Field research including: stream surveys, wildlife surveys, fisheries surveys and plant identification
• Technical writing and document development using MS Office
• Data organization including GIS, Excel

This position requires you to have:

• BA/BS degree
• 1-3 years' related experience
• Familiarity with aquatic and coastal environments of the Pacific Northwest
• Flexibility to work long hours in inclement conditions
• Enthusiasm and willingness to learn and develop
• Strong written/oral communication skills
• Ability to perform effectively in a small team environment
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet project deadlines
• Willingness to ask questions
• Around 25-50% travel to project sites
• Lift 50+ lbs.

Excellent if you have:

• Permitting experience (local, state, federal)
• AutoCAD/ArcGIS
• Understanding of how consulting business works
• Wetland Delineation Certification
• SCUBA diving
