La Scuola is a progressive environmental school that welcomes children from preschool - 8th grade. This is a place to learn, laugh, grow, question, work hard, develop, think big, collaborate and innovate.

We emphasize collaboration and recognize the gifts that each child brings to the group. Our approach is one that recognizes the whole child and focuses first and foremost on connection and social-emotional learning and relationships as the necessary foundations for education.

La Scuola is an educational home for teachers drawn to nature and practices that are rooted in unifying beliefs about children and learning, based on current neurological and educational research. La Scuola educators are both guides and co-learners in the collaborative learning process and make students' learning visible to themselves and others. We view teaching not as a static set of skills, but as a dynamic process, manifested in our culture of research and our commitment to the children's development.

La Scuola is looking for dedicated, dynamic and experienced educators to lead classroom instruction for Grades 6 - 8. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in education, with an ability to successfully work with the students and faculty to ensure a safe, supportive learning environment that reflects the mission and values of La Scuola. Educators interested in joining our team should also be naturally curious, life-long learners and invested in supporting our next generation of environmental stewards, problem solvers, leaders, and innovators. Our 3-acre campus inspires scientific inquiry and provides an outdoor environment that serves as an additional classroom for all of our students.

Tucked within 3 acres of lush and sprawling forest, our campus is surrounded by mature trees, an abundance of wildlife, and beautiful edible landscapes. The nature that surrounds our school is at the heart of our philosophy. At La Scuola, it is our belief that the exploration of the natural world is the richest source of learning.

Our progressive school is also heavily inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. This approach asserts that children are born capable, with innate creativity, and with a sense of wonder that should be nurtured.
