Insight Global is looking for an Environmental Scientist for a large environmental consulting firm sitting in Sacramento, CA or Oakland, CA. The ideal candidate would be providing technical support in the areas of environmental site assessment, brownfields, site investigation and remediation activities. Work will include multi-media sampling, field audits and inspections, organizing and reviewing data, preparing reports, perform reviews, contractor oversight, and related services. Members of the team are also responsible for the planning and oversight of operations and site health and safety.

Must Haves:
- 5-7 years of experience as an environmental scientist/engineer
- Field experience with remedial design, feasibility studies, hazardous waste, site investigations
- Field experience performing sampling including groundwater, soil and gas
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong report writing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Plus:
- Radiation experience
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER, FEMA ICS-100 and 200, 30 hour OSHA construction, or US Army Corps of Engineers EM 385
- GIS data analysis

- Lead and support existing environmental contracts (i.e. Phase I & II EPA and RAES)
- Conduct site assessments, investigations, and inspections
- Prepare Environmental cost analysis
- Conduct samplings and understand soil, ground water, and gas contamination analysis
- Be responsible for response plans and designs
- Be responsible for renewal investigations and design and site cleanup/remedial actions
- Analyze field notes and prepare reports and feasibility studies
