Job Overview:

The position will lead commuter transportation projects and/or tasks, from the development of strategy to the delivery of high-impact, in-depth projects.

The core functions of the role include:
  • Leveraging partnerships and project management practices to support change in transportation options and how people get around.
  • Implementing employer-facing outreach, sales, and partnerships primarily for Perimeter Connects, a Transportation Management Association
  • Developing and fostering partnerships to support project goals (i.e., municipalities, community organizations, employers, funders, transportation agencies/service providers, partner organizations)
  • Creating and implementing programs focused on shifting travel behaviors of key audience segments including office, hospitality, and retail
  • Leading, planning and staffing outreach efforts such as presentations to large groups, transportation fairs, kiosks/expos, tabling, lunch and learns, and other in-person engagement tactics

Building Partnerships: You are good at understanding what issues are facing potential clients/partners, and working with them to create relationships and partnerships to help tackle their problems. Skills such as:
  • Experience with business-to-business (B2B) sales.
  • Researching organizations and working over the short and long term to build contacts in the right places.
  • Engaging and persuasive presentations (specifically making visually engaging presentations or other content/delivery to varied audiences).
  • Experience with building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.

Managing Teams, Programs, and Projects: You have exceptional project management experience and skills such as:
  • Building and prioritizing resources, initiatives, timelines and other variables to meet and exceed project goals.
  • Organizational skills and commitment to quality
  • Strategy development and management to guide projects and/or programs towards the defined finish line.
  • Budgeting skills that can match strategy and prioritization.
  • Team-building skills that result in amazing outcomes, happy teammates, and award-winning programs.

Leveraging Data and Evidence: You're not intimidated by data or spreadsheets and the stories they can tell us, and you use evidence and insights to evolve your approach. You have:
  • Experience monitoring and reporting on program analytics.
  • Experience using data and outcomes to inform or pivot strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop metric/monitoring efforts to prove value/success.
  • Exceptional analytical, influencing, negotiating, and problem-solving skills.


Required Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Three or more years of full-time professional experience, related to program management, customer service, communications, sales, public engagement, and/or community outreach
  • Ability to pass a Homeland Security background check
  • Experience/expertise in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)


Other Desired Qualities:
  • Knowledgeable (or highly curious) about behavior change, sustainability, transportation, TDM, community development, workforce development, or related
  • Experience with project management tools such as Wrike, Asana, Basecamp, etc.
  • Desire to positively affect the community, region, and environment
  • Hands-on contributor
  • Eagerness to build and refine your skills


Full-time. Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
