Environmental Health Specialist
Adams County Integrated Health Care Services has an opening for an Environmental Health Specialist.
Duties include but not limited to; the application of environmental public health and safety principles and practices within a regulatory environment, providing professional oversight for various programs involving surveillance enforcement of mandated health and sanitary regulations, public education in areas and facilities such as: Food Safety, Drinking Water, Wastewater Management, Land Use and Development, School Health and Safety, Solid Waste, Site Hazard Assessment, Chemical and Physical Hazard, Living Environment, Public Health Emergency Planning and Response and Epidemiology.
Position requires a Bachelor of Science degree in any Environmental Health related studies: Earth Science, Food Science, Biology, Zoology, or closely related field. Must be able to obtain a Washington State Registration as a Sanitarian within two years of hire and have a valid driver s license. Bilingual Spanish encouraged to apply.
Salary is set on the County Exempt Pay Scale EE4 with beginning yearly salary starting at $58,882.01 - $61,826.11 DOE. County Benefits include medical, dental, paid sick leave, paid vacation, paid holidays, and retirement.
