Position: Environmental & Safety Manager

Location: Clifton Hill, MO

Salary: $120,000 - 140,000

Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, & 401k match up to 7%

Target Individual: We are looking for someone with both Environmental & Safety experience, along with some field exposure. Someone who is personable and willing to engage with team members in other divisions.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking applicants for a Manager, Safety & Environmental in the Environmental, Health & Safety Department of our Power Production division located in Clifton Hill, MO. As our Manager, Safety & Environmental you will champion our "safety first" culture and will partner with plant management to work with employees, contractors and visitors to ensure the proper tools and support is in place to grow and maintain a strong EH&S culture. You will also work to identify, evaluate and control hazards and environmental risk to protect employees, minimize operating costs, improve efficiency and company assets and ensure that the plant in compliance with safety and environmental federal regulations. Primary activities will include:

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, safety management, environmental science or other related technical field (e.g., industrial hygiene, chemistry, biology, earth science, etc.) or equivalent EH&S experience.
  • Advanced degrees and certifications are encouraged for job progression.


Knowledge of:
  • Knowledge of air, water, waste sampling techniques.
  • Knowledge of researching and reviewing EH&S regulations.
  • Knowledge of company EH&S procedures and best practices.
  • Knowledge of EH&S regulatory agencies.
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate EH&S requirements to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Temperament to develop consensus between diverse internal and external stakeholders to follow EH&S requirements.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Be a Champion for our "Safety First" culture
  • Lead and/or participate in safety and environmental committees and working groups
  • Collect, manage, monitor and submit environmental data to support permit culture
  • Lead plant EH&S staff
  • Support EH&S goals and objectives
  • Develop and manage departmental budget
  • Lead plant EH&S audits and incident investigations
  • Support and manage EH&S projects to improve key performance metrics
  • Manage the Emergency Response Team
