Position Summary

Seeking a Research Associate/Senior Research Associate with in vitro assay experience to play a key role in the evaluation and development the company's new therapeutic platform and lead drug candidates. Responsibilities include characterization of therapeutic and reagent proteins by in vitro assays including enzyme-coupled assays, microscopy, ELISA, and western blots. Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance of cultured cells using aseptic technique
  • Measurement of protein abundance and stability by confocal microscopy, ELISA and immunoblotting
  • Quantification of analytes with 96- and 384-well enzyme-coupled assays
  • Data analysis and reporting of findings

Experience and Qualifications
  • BS or MS in biology, biochemistry, or a related field with relevant laboratory experience
  • Ability to plan and execute standard plate-based assays in 96- and 384-well formats for quantification of various samples (eg. high-throughput imaging, enzyme-coupled assays) required
  • Familiarity with performance and optimization of common molecular biology and biochemical techniques, including extraction of protein and RNA, and RT-qPCR preferred
  • Passion for curing neurodegenerative diseases is a bonus
