Our Great Falls, Montana office has an immediate full-time opportunity for an Environmental and Industrial Hygiene Technician. Qualifications and Job Duties:

  • Provide environmental and industrial hygiene field support to environmental engineers and industrial hygienists. Involvement with investigating, monitoring, and remediating environmental contamination and compliance monitoring of natural and work environments.
  • Sample ground water, surface water, soil, air, and building materials.
  • Perform inspections and monitoring for asbestos, lead, mold, noise, and various compounds in work environments. Perform various field and laboratory analyses.
  • Collect soil and water samples and field data in various settings and all kinds of weather.
  • Assist with monitoring well construction and development.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and repair field instruments and properly use and maintain company truck and equipment.
  • Work involves entering crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, and working in rough terrain in a consistently safe manner, carrying loads up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lifting loads up to 100 lbs.
  • Must pass medical evaluation for fitness in performing field tasks, have clean driving record, and be capable of obtaining necessary military and industrial clearances. Must be capable of astutely following work plans, keeping detailed and neat field notes, and performing basic calculations.
  • No college degree or prior experience required, but HAZWOPER, asbestos, and other hazardous waste certifications and training must be obtained. Applicants who already have certifications are encouraged to apply. Additional skills such as CADD, GIS, construction management, surveying, and construction materials testing would open additional possibilities in position and location.
