Essential Responsibilities:
  • Engagement Management: Serve as a strategic advisor and thought-partner to Senior Level Executive Clients; lead engagement planning and budgeting; lead large and complex consulting teams; define project scope; manage engagement risk; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client; ensure timely, quality delivery of work products
  • Client Relationships: Build relationships with new potential clients; manage the day-to-day interactions with executive clients and sponsors
  • Business Development: Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; organize and lead pursuit teams; Oversee the proposal development process; Oversee the development of proposal pricing strategies; manage tradeoffs and risk
  • Practice Development & Eminence: Develop practical solutions and methodologies; develop "thought ware" and "point-of-view" documents; participate in public speaking events; get published in industry periodicals
  • People Development: Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices.
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of professional experience in a Consulting environment or managing teams in an operating environment; in either scenario, experience focused on Corporate & Business Unit Strategy, Strategic Planning, Growth Strategy, Commercial Strategy, and Business Transformation
  • 7+ years of experience driving sales cycles and directly managing teams
  • Deep understanding of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) topics, e.g., climate change, decarbonization, renewable energy, and DE&I; authorship of ESG research and eminence is a plus
  • Familiarity with leading and emerging ESG and carbon disclosure methodologies, frameworks, and reporting mechanisms (e.g., IPCC, GHG Protocol, SBTi, FLAG, GRI, SASB, CDP, etc.)
  • Experience and comfort in using analytical methods to create project analyses and recommendation support
  • Stakeholder management experience, including working with the organization and business leaders, especially at the Board, CXO, and CXO-1 levels
  • Advanced understanding of typical corporate functions, operations, and reporting, including the reading of financial statements
  • Ability to define trends across industries and articulate their impact on client's business and strategic choices, particularly as it relates to social impact / purpose-driven focus areas and opportunities for innovation
  • Superior critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, team-building, and oral and written communication skills; outstanding integrity, initiative, creativity, and passion
