Business Development - Environmental Construction

Are you ready to direct, expand, and amplify the business development of a $50M/yr environmental construction and services division of a multi-billion dollar firm?
Our client aims to hire a Business Development Manager focused on seeking business opportunities, building client relationships, and researching market conditions. Additionally, this individual will assist the Project Management team with pre-bid support to estimating staff, managing remediation projects, reviewing project documentation, and working with the site superintendents to optimize labor, subcontractors, and equipment. This position will report to the VP of the Environmental Division.

Primary Responsibilities

* Ensure Health and Safety by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
* Assist in preparing technical proposals and processes for bid opportunities.
* Business development and marketing for clients on a national basis.
* Assist with developing and executing the strategic direction of the environmental remediation group to ensure financial profitability and growth.
* Client development for new and existing client base.
* Act as an agent of business and be involved with developing relationships with key customers and understanding customer issues.
* Conduct project walk-throughs, assist with technical proposal preparation and client/subcontractor support.
* Set-up projects; coordinate resources and scheduling.
* Work with field personnel in procedures to complete assignments and understand the labor and equipment requirements for each individual project.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* BS/BA in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Studies, Business Administration, or related field.
* Minimum of 5+ years in Environmental Business Development and/or Project Management
* Proficiency in Windows based applications
* Experience in sales, marketing, and understanding market trends.
* General understanding of environmental processes and concepts
* Strong analytical, interpersonal, presentation, organizational, and research skills

Compensation

* Our client will provide an above-average industry-based salary and bonus package depending on experience. Salary and bonus will be in the $175-225k range along with the standard compensation trimmings that come with a leadership position. Relocation is negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
