Join Takeda as a Senior Research Associate II - Cellular and Molecular Biology where you will perform and interpret research lab assignments independently. You will also Contributes to experimental design and implementation of improvements for routine and non-routine procedures. As part of the Fibrostenotic Discovery Research, GI Inflammatory Disease Research, you will report to Associate Director & Head Fibrostenotic Discovery Research, GI Inflammatory Disease Research team and work with the Gastroenterology Drug Discovery Unit, (GI DDU).

How you will contribute:

Independently conduct complex in vitro experiments within a project scope, exercising judgment to evaluate a variety of technical factors, and obtain optimum solutions
Independently design well-defined and controlled experimental procedures, and independently provide work group with technical guidance and problem resolution related to methods, procedures, and processes
Use a battery of in vitro assay technologies in primary cell types to execute on pipeline programs including MSD, ELISA, qPCR, Incucyte, and flow cytometry
Exercise technical judgement in execution of specialized procedures and interpretation of complex results, initiate routine and non-routine problem investigation and recommends solutions
Perform calculations and basic analysis on experimental results and develop hypotheses
Maintain responsibility for routine laboratory instrumentation and supplies, and maintain good records
Prepare detailed protocols / SOPs that enable transfer of validated assays to project team members and collaborators
Prepare and present endpoint analysis to project teams
Expected to organize time and plan specifics of project related work with oversight from manager

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

MS in a scientific discipline (or equivalent) with 2+ years relevant experience, or BS with 4+ years relevant experience in a scientific discipline of Cellular & Molecular Biology, Immunology, or equivalent; with previous industry experience required (minimum 2 years)

Demonstrate significant knowledge of basic Immunology and in vitro pharmacology
Contribute to the improvement of in vitro immunology pharmacology scientific methods; participate in the development of hypothesis, conduct analysis of results and draws conclusions; make modifications to experimental procedures and techniques
Communicate and collaborate with colleagues effectively
Knowledge in the use of common analytic softwares including Graphpad Prism
With latitude in specific areas, plan and execute in vitro experiments with appropriate controls; decisions have moderate to advanced scope and impact technical operations or project deadlines
