Job Description

Verisk Atmospheric and Environmental Research is seeking candidates for Vice-President of the Space Weather Division. Verisk AER has a decades long record of performance and innovation against basic and applied space weather research program objectives spanning ionospheric, magnetospheric and solar physics domains. The division Vice-President will lead, develop and grow an interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers that support research and development objectives of government and commercial customers. Verisk Atmospheric and Environmental Research performs a wide spectrum of geophysical research and development services as a business unit of the Verisk Analytics enterprise.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate many of the following attributes:

- 8+ years of progressive experience with Space Weather research and development projects

- A successful record of proposal development and execution/contract management of resulting program awards

- Publications in relevant/related scientific/technical domains.

- Ability to lead project teams from proposal development through contract execution.

- Strong technical, management, written, and oral communication skills.

- Experience with the software development lifecycle and research to operations projects.

- Advanced degree in a technical discipline is preferred.

- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance are required
