Research Biologist needed in Fulton, MO
6 months W2 contract
Payrate: 29-32/hour
Description:
The Research Biologist assists with technical functions required in Clinical Research and Development studies. These are mainly technical laboratory and animal work (e. g. treatment administration, blood sampling, necropsy, parasite counts, observations, etc.). The Research Biologist supports the Clinical Scientists with collection of data, review of documents, distribution of documents to staff, responding to study reports, data entry, data collation and preparation of study notebooks. As needed, the Research Biologist can participate in other administrative tasks related to study programs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
With guidance, performs study procedures as assigned, involving administration of experimental material, blood sampling, necropsy, health observations, etc.
Assists in the origination of the study protocol, conducting pre-study and ongoing study functions including, but not limited to, designing of study report forms, notebook preparation, data collection, initiating calendar of events and other technical/administrative study-related functions as needed.
With guidance, may also review portions of data, perform data entry, and help with the preparation and collation of trial reports.
Complies with all applicable regulations governing the Animal Health Industry.
Ensures that work performed in area of responsibility is conducted in a safe and compliant manner.
Maintains proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies.
Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented
Knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office
Effective time management
Ability to work with some level of independence
Exhibits integrity and trust
Education: S. degree, or Associates degree, (in an area related to biology); OR 1-2 years of animal handling experience
A basic level of animal handling experience is required
