The Environmental Health & Safety Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, evaluation, and execution of the company's Safety and Environmental regulatory programs, demonstrating a commitment to our employees and stewardship for the community. Success includes implementation of safety practices that enables safe job performance and supports the welfare of company employees, and includes oversight to ensure compliance with all regulatory agency environmental requirements. This person works closely with the leadership team in Lexington, KY and Charlestown, IN to ensure successful implementation of necessary and effective programs. This is accomplished through:

The Environmental Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for:
  • Ensuring all employees are provided proper safety systems, tools, PPE, etc.
  • Create and foster a sustainable safety culture within the plant environment
  • Safety improvement action plans and key performance indicators (KPI's)
  • Safety training content
  • Ensuring consistent application of safety policies throughout the precast plant
  • Leading the process to investigate safety incidents and environmental excursions/violations
  • Lead the process to investigate and achieve root cause resolution
  • Emergency Response Procedures, safety and environmental audits, continuous improvement

The Environmental Health & Safety Manager will maintain compliance:
  • Ensure that the precast plant is compliant with all OSHA regulations and regulatory agency environmental requirements
  • Serve as management representative for OSHA and all federal and state environmental regulatory agencies
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with OSHA representatives and other regulatory agencies
  • Develop applicable policies and procedures required for compliance

The Environmental Health & Safety Manager must have the following:
  • An undying commitment to excellence in safety performance and regulatory compliance
  • A Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental processes, or related field of study
  • 5 years of experience in the construction and/or manufacturing field(s)
