Salary Range: $70K - $90K Permanent Position with Benefits.
A growing full service civil & environmental engineering consulting firm is seeking to hire a Project Engineer Professional. We are seeking a qualified Green Infrastructure Project Professional, you will be a part of the Green and Blue Infrastructure project teams to plan and design today's complex restoration of our natural areas, helping non-profits, municipalities, and our parks plan, design, and maintain water quality, climate resilience, and habitat improvements. As a technical advisor on projects, you may also serve as the main point of contact with a client as directed. Projects may include stream and wetland restoration grading plans, best management practice (BMPs)/green infrastructure (GI) design and retrofits, hydraulic and hydrology studies, stormwater grading plans, stormwater pollution prevention plan preparation, site BMPs design, GI operations & Maintenance, Invasive Species control, and watershed studies.
This is a full-time position. Occasional evening work may be required as job duties demand. Work from home flexibility.
Travel is primarily local during the business day.
REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related natural resource field is required. Master's degree is preferred.
Must have a minimal of 5 years of consulting experience in a similar position.
Proficient with AutoCAD and any other related software used in the industry.
MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook experienced
Certifications: Natural Channel Stream Design training (Rosgen) or similar certification.
Excellent leadership and organizational skills in a team-oriented environment.
Analytical and creative thinking.
RESPONSIBILITIES Actively engage in assigned projects including preparing proposals, project planning documents, and budgets; designing systems for projects using manual techniques and computer programs; calculating and checking project quantities and cost estimates; preparing applications for project permitting and coordinating approvals with regulatory agencies; monitoring project budgets, reporting results to the project manager, identifying and developing strategies to complete the project within budget; recommending project plan changes when needed; assisting with construction observation to ensure work is in compliance with design specifications; preparing reports for distribution to management, clients, and reviewing agencies; serving as assistant project manager as needed; maintaining contact with clients, regulatory agencies, and other outside groups as delegated by project manager.
Collaborate and regularly communicate with Project Manager and other project staff on status of work, deliverables, schedule, and budgets; supervise the work of other professionals to complete project documentation, provide basic direction and input, monitor quality, and ensure on-time completion of work.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with existing and prospective clients; participate in client events, community boards and organizations and industry associations; participate in public meetings including delivery of presentations as requested.
