This is a Full-Time Exempt position
Tasks for the day:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a large inorganics Metals Laboratory. Specific duties include:
All aspects of hiring, scheduling, training, and career development of 10+ staff.
Overseeing successful workload scheduling and prioritization, ensuring timely delivery of data.
Keeping a compliment of over 10 GCMS systems operating, properly maintained, and making improvements using experience and technical knowledge.
Developing and implementing effective training programs to successfully onboard and develop staff to perform within compliance of a department and Labwide quality program.
Qualifications:
The position requires:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, environmental science, or a closely related field. 5+ years' experience in working lab environment may substitute for degree for right candidate.
Previous experience managing, motivating, and developing direct reports in a team environment.
Experience and/or technical capability with CVAA, ICP, and ICP-MS systems highly preferred. (Individuals with equivalent technical experience will also be considered.
Where you work:
Lab setting - subject to chemicals, fumes, gasses, noxious odors, and related items in a lab and samples setting
Setting requires standing for extended periods of time
