Position Title Associate/Full Professor, Division of Hematology
The Department of Medicine is looking for an Associate/Full Professor to join a dynamic, interdisciplinary faculty team operating at the convergence of materials science and information science.
Successful candidates are expected to work effectively in a novel team environment and integrate well into MDI's innovative teaching and research program. Faculty are expected to:
MDI offers a BS in materials science and engineering, MS and Ph.D. degrees in materials design, and innovation as well as an accelerated BS-Chemistry/MS- MDI degree in partnership with the Chemistry Department at UB.
Candidates for an Associate Professor or Full Professor position should have a strong record of scholarly accomplishments, teaching experience, and a sustained externally funded research program.
A collaboration between the School of Engineering & Applied Sciences and the College of Arts of Sciences at UB, MDI was established in 2015. It has established a pioneering educational and research program, training material scientists and engineers with fluency in the methods of data-driven materials discovery, design, and innovation that can help solve pressing societal problems in areas such as climate change, environmental sustainability, and public health. MDI is a department committed to the growth and promotion of a diverse and inclusive community of students and faculty; with the desire to share our vision of helping all constituents reach their full potential.
