Job TitleSr. Environmental Compliance Specialist

Location: Coralville, IA

Purpose Statement:
The Sr. Environmental Compliance Specialist is responsible for leading all aspects of the environmental programs at IDT-Coralville sites. You will develop, implement, and maintain environmental programs, systems, and procedures, as well as provide compliance and technical support that ensures regulatory compliance and supports business goals.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

* Ensure Environmental Performance through the development, implementation, and management of environmental programs.

* Drive critical programs such as CAA, RCRA, Stormwater, Wastewater, SPCC, TRI, etc., to reduce risks and company costs.

* Continually identify, prioritize, mitigate, and communicate compliance risks. Able to manage certain known risks and requires assistance with new ones.

* Create and maintain all required records and documentation.

* Conduct internal compliance audits and inspections.

* Interact with regulatory bodies.

* Create, facilitate, and present environmental training programs.

* Function as a key member of the site's Environmental Review Board.

* Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Licensure, Certification, Registration:

* Bachelor's degree science, engineering, or related field (required)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Ability to collect, analyze, synthesis, and interpret data (required)

* Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization (required)

* Adapt to change, manage multiple priorities, and work collaboratively with teams and departments across the organization (required)

* Learning to influence, motivate, and drive collaboration (required)

Education, Licensure, Certification, Registration:

* Advanced degree in science, engineering, or related field (preferred)

Professional Experience :

* Environmental compliance experience in a chemical handling/manufacturing environment (preferred)

* Working knowledge of ISO 14001 (preferred)

* Valid driver's license (preferred)
