Do you have a bachelor's degree in Occupational/Industrial Health and Safety, Environmental, or Engineering? Are you proficient and/or experienced in environmental regulations and policies? Collagen Matrix Inc. is the driving force in the design, development and manufacturing of advanced collagen and mineral based medical devices that support the body's natural ability to regenerate.
The Environmental Health, and Safety Associate is responsible for* Maintaining and supporting the EHS program and health safety procedures for all areas of the business
* Inspecting the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks
* Developing and implementing inspection policies and procedures, and scheduling routine inspections
* Performing or coordinating Industrial Hygiene monitoring, interpreting the results and implement changes as required
* Managing transporting, storage, handling, and labeling of hazardous waste
* Obtaining and maintaining operating permits and licenses that are required by local, state, federal agencies
* Having knowledge of Hazardous Waste regulations, Waste Treatment Systems operation & maintenance
* Leading safety and related meetings, and other project teams
* Investigating safety and occupational health related injuries/accidents and follow-up with corrective actions with regards to safety hazards
The ideal candidate has:
* Bachelor's Degree in Occupational/Industrial Health & Safety, Environmental, Engineering or other related field
* Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies preferably in a manufacturing or medical device environment or highly regulated industry
* Experience working with state agencies and OSHA on compliance activities
* Technical (OSHA/EPA/DEP and other relevant regulations and standards expertise)
* Ability to lead and work with others as well as communicate effectively
