Microbiologist URGENT HIRE

*Description:*
This position will test components, raw materials, finished products, stability samples, and field feed samples for microbiological contamination according to USP 61 and company QC standards under FDA guidelines.

* Will perform microbial plating, bioburden testing, environmental monitoring, and other microbiological testing as directed by USP standards.
* Perform method transfers/validations as directed.
* Develop methods as needed to support department needs.
* Make certain that all required records are maintained appropriately as required by the SOPs.
* Write and update SOPs as required to maintain laboratory operations.

*Additional Skills & Qualifications:*

* BS Degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc.)
* 3+ years of pharmaceutical QC Micro or Environmental monitoring required
* Specific understanding of USP 61 - Bioburden is a must. They also must be familiar with bioburden testing for USP purified water. Especially the filtration method. Microbial challenge testing and environmental monitoring is also a plus.
