Paul Smith's College seeks an experienced academic leader with a strong background in teaching and learning to assume the role of Assistant/Associate Provost. The Assistant/Associate Provost will hold an important academic position reporting directly to the Provost, providing direct support to chairs and faculty. Particular areas of responsibility include; coordinating curriculum review and improvement process, coordinating the faculty-led assessment system, coordinating the capstone programs, improving student learning through encouraging faculty development, representing the Provost on campus committees, and helping to coordinate work with admissions and other units of the college.
Doctorate in relevant field.
Experience in higher education as faculty member and/or administrator, preferably with experience in advising
Strong background in assessment and accreditation
Interest in, and commitment to, student academic success, including for underrepresented populations
Strong technology skills, including teaching, learning and assessment technologies
Strong oral and written communications skills
