Raba Kistner is accepting resumes for an Environmental Geologist II to join our San Antonio location. We are a Top 200 Civil Engineering Firm, well established with over 50 years in the industry.
The Environmental Geologist II responsibilities encompass supporting successful business practices in Raba Kistner's Geosciences, Environmental Due Diligence, Environmental Permitting & Planning, and Cultural Resources Management service offerings. This role will include performance of field activities including, but not limited to site visits, data collection, geologic mapping, and soils/groundwater sampling activities. Additional responsibilities will include performance of special internal projects, preparation of report graphics, and written environmental reports.
Minimum Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a closely related field; Master's degree in Earth Sciences, Geology, or related field is preferred.
* Up to 2-3 years applicable experience is required.
* Has familiarity with geologic conditions throughout the San Antonio region in addition to Phase I and Phase II ESA components, and borehole logging procedures.
* Has obtained a Geoscientist-in-Training (GIT) certification or has the ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
* Processes and the willingness and ability to quickly establish proficiency with RKE procedures and protocols for performing Geosciences and Due Diligence project work.
* Excellent written communication skills for preparing proposals, reports, and other technical documents.
* Must pass a drug test prior to employment and will be subject to post-accident, random, and reasonable cause testing during employment.
