QC Microbiology Lab Supervisor

The Denzel Group, an award-winning search firm, has been chosen to work with an industry leader in the Lehigh Valley on their quest for a talented QC Microbiology Lab Supervisor. In this role, you will oversee FDA and ISO compliant testing and disposition of product. This role oversees 7 direct reports conducting Microbiology activities for the QC Analytical lab. Team functions include sterility testing, environmental monitoring, and water testing. This role is 60% hands-on, along with team oversight.

*This would be a great fit for a Medical Technologist with Microbiology experience working in a clinical lab setting.

Responsibilities

* Ensure all documentation is in good order prior to product release.
* Supervise employees, including hiring, terminations, performance reviews, task delegation, etc.
* Provide technical guidance for microbial testing requirements and techniques.
* Revise testing processes and policies to support continuous improvement.
* Visual and physical inspections of products and materials.
* Support investigations and corrective actions for Out of Specification (OOS) results and product non-conformances.
* Support regulatory inspections and customer audits.

Requirements

* BS degree, at minimum.
* 4+ years' Microbiology testing in an FDA/ISO regulated QC lab environment, such as medical device, pharma, or clinical lab settings.
* General knowledge of Microbiology testing principles and techniques.
* Prior personnel supervisory experience.
