Job description

Upon resumption of normal operations, this role may be performed at our New York, New York office. As the Global Transformation Senior Project Manager, you will plan, mobilize and direct projects of high complexity and scale from project definition to closure. You will be responsible for the end to end planning and delivery of one or more projects proactively balancing scope, schedule, budget, risks, team, outcomes and benefits. Projects can be standalone or form part of a program. You will deploy Global Transformation Project Management Framework and other Global Transformation Change Framework (CF) within your project. You will work closely with the Program Manager and Global Portfolio Management Office to ensure alignment of your project with the wider change portfolio and the Group Strategy, Values and Behaviors. You will be responsible for: Creating requirements for Market Risk projects and providing subject matter expertise to clear any ambiguity in the requirements Assisting Market Risk Managers in all analysis work required as part of the rollout of the project Performing acceptance testing and driving projects to sign-off and go-live Producing well-defined project plans, dictating the key milestones and assign responsibilities/resources Developing and/or reviewing estimates and validating assumptions for the project's schedule, effort, and cost using established Global Transformation estimating models, best practices, and past experiences Promoting and taking accountability for project quality; identifying opportunities to improve delivery and oversees the governance process to reduce risk and ensure effective and timely decisions are taken Working with stakeholders at multiple levels, including senior stakeholders, within Traded Risk and related functions to steer the projects, resolve issues and escalate challenges
Requirements
Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions. Strong Market Risk Business Analysis and subject matter expertise required Extensive experience in working with business and IT teams at all stages of a project lifecycle Good stakeholder management experience, especially impactful communication, influencing and running project governance Implementation, change management and benefits realization Extensive project management skills and experience of managing large and complex projects Multiple strong examples of the delivery of on time and on budget projects that achieve business case stated Outcomes - a driver with bias towards delivery at pace and controlling project outcomes As an HSBC employee, you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities to ensure you have the right skills for today and tomorrow.
