A pharmaceutical company in Massachusetts is looking to add a new Biologist III to their staff.
ResponsibilitiesThe Biologist III will:
* Display impeccable lab practices, including aseptic cell line/primary cell maintenance and stimulation
* Optimize cell culture conditions, phenotypical assays, Western Blot, migration/contraction assays (fibroblasts), viability assays, qPCR, ELISA/multiplex protein assays, etc.
* Maintain accurate and well-organized records and laboratory electronic notebooks
* Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
* 3+ years of hands-on academia/industry experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Biology
* Experience with Fibro blasting
* Experience with ELISA, Western Blot
* Experience with Human Cells
* Experience with Micro-Aseptic techniques, cell culture, cell plating and staining / Molecular- Assays, blotting, PCR, PAGE, electrophoresis
* Great interpersonal skills
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Strong attention ot detail
* Highly organized
Desired Skills:
* Experience with systems relevant to human lung/skin fibrosis such as airway epithelial cells, fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells, and endothelium
* Familiar with co-culture, tissue explants, airway-liquid interface assays, 3D/microfluidic/chip system
