The selected candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of innovative scientists, using cutting-edge technologies including tissue biofabrication, tissue chips, quantitative cell imaging, histology, assay development, drug screening, data science and other 'omics' technologies (e.g., scRNAseq) to develop advanced 3-D cellular models to study viral infections and drug screening.

* Ph.D. in Virology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or a related disci-pline. Three (3) years of specialized experience plus a Master's degree is equivalent to a Ph.D. Five (5) years of specialized experience plus a BA/BS degree is equivalent to a Ph.D.
* Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in Biosafety Level 2 or 3 (BSL3) re-search environment.

* Work with the 3D TBL and Antiviral Program for Pandemics to establish a portfolio of complex physiologically relevant 3D tissue models as predictive screening platforms to study viral infections and drug testing

* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team of innovative scientists using cutting edge tech-nologies like tissue biofabrication, tissue chips, quantitative cell imaging, histology, assay development, drug screening, data science and other omics technologies including scRNAseq to develop advanced 3D cellular models to study viral infections and drug screening

* Develop and perform viral detection assays in a variety of tissue-based platforms

* Work with the Antiviral Program for Pandemics (APP) to establish a portfolio of high throughput, 96-, 384- and 1536-well live virus platforms for studying BSL2 and BSL3 viral infections in a variety of disease relevant models.

* Screen 384- and 1536-well live virus platforms for identifying antiviral compounds in APP priority viruses/viral families.
