Job Description
Job Title: Microbiology Laboratory Scientist
Duration: 10+ Months
Location: Piscataway NJ
Responsibilities:
The Temporary Microbiology Laboratory Scientist is responsible for performing general microbiological laboratory duties as outlined below:
• Performs microbiological testing in accordance with standard procedures
• Perform microbiological method validations
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date and concise laboratory records
• Support environmental monitoring program, including aseptic sampling/testing of water, air and surfaces
• Complete failure investigations and properly document out of specification results
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date and concise laboratory records
• General housekeeping/upkeep/cleaning of laboratory
• Monitor, clean, and perform calibration checks for laboratory equipment and machinery
Additional tasks, as needed
Estimated hours per week: 26-32
Qualification:
Skills/Experience/Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Microbiology/Biology.
• 1-2 years experience in industry Microbiology, preferred.
• Knowledge of cGMP and aseptic technique.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong multi tasking skills.
• Precise, accurate and detail oriented.
