Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories, a nationally recognized laboratory, is searching for an experienced QC Microbiology Group Leader to join our Professional Scientific Services group in Bothell, WA.
Job Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Lead and manage a team of QC Microbiology Analysts to perform environmental monitoring sampling and testing activities
  • Schedule, coordinate, train, and perform routine environmental and water sample collection for cleanroom manufacturing facility
  • Perform clean steam and compressed gas sampling
  • Assist in drafting technical documents including SOPs, test methods, sampling plans, and quality documents
  • Maintain samples; perform data verification and data entry in a cGMP environment.
  • Troubleshoot processes and support CAPA and LEAN improvement on processes
  • Create and drive a positive, inclusive, success-oriented, high performing team
  • Track and monitor team performance using internal and external metrics
  • Implement employee development opportunities including career growth, technical growth, leadership growth, and facilitate peer-to-peer cross training
  • Identify and resolve service and personnel problems in a timely manner
  • Escalate service and personnel problems as needed
  • Timecard approvals, PTO approvals, and other related administrative tasks
  • Collaborate with and report to area leadership

The ideal candidate would possess:
  • Experience performing and training GMP environmental/water monitoring collection and testing activities.
  • Experience collaborating between manufacturing and quality labs in a GMP manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team-oriented setting
  • Proficiency with computer systems including LIMS, Microsoft programs, and document management systems
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail and ability to collaborate effectively
  • Strong leadership, initiative, and teambuilding skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or other related degree concentration
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in GMP manufacturing setting
  • Leadership experience, initiative, and teambuilding skills
  • Experience with cGMP
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Additional Information

Position is full-time, working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Bothell, WA are encouraged to apply.
