Job Description

The ELS Analyst will be performing analytical methods by conducting sample preparation and analysis using laboratory equipment in the Inorganic section. Responsible for performing basic laboratory testing and analysis in compliance with standard operating procedures. Assists with troubleshooting of instrumentation, equipment, and analytical methodologies to ensure production goals are met. Assists with required maintenance and repairs as needed by communicating to more experienced staff and management. Records all maintenance performed in LIMS.

This job requires you to be in lab most of the day and can be monotonous, so must ensure you can work under these conditions.

Environmental laboratory experience is nice to have but is not necessary. Require a willingness to learn laboratory techniques and produce high quality data in a high production fast-paced environment.

Requirements

An Associate's degree in chemistry, biology, microbiology, environmental science, physical sciences, or engineering with 12 or more college semester credit hours in chemistry; while not required, a BS degree is preferred.
1+ years of experience as an analyst (or equivalent position) in a laboratory
Experience using Laboratory Information Management Systems software
Valid Driver's license
