Overview:
Celularity is NJ-based biotechnology company striving to become the leader in allogeneic cellular therapeutics. We are looking for a highly motivated Scientist to join a group of researchers evaluating novel cell therapies in the field of immunotherapy. The candidate will have 2-7 years of academic or pharmaceutical industrial experience in the design and implementation of cell-based assays and flow cytometry. A background in cell biology, cellular and molecular immunology, and primary cell culture is required. The candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory-based translational research studies to support ongoing clinical trials. The candidate is expected to be proficient in sterile technique, cell culture, and flow cytometry. The candidate is expected to be detail-oriented, properly document data and experimental results, and provide regular research progress reports, both in written and oral in team and departmental meetings.

Responsibilities:
Safely work in a BSL2 laboratory compliant with blood-borne pathogen trainingWork within the translational research scientific team to support flow cytometry, cell biology assays and approaches.Perform data analysis, exercise scientific judgement and define conclusions.Provide written and oral scientific progress reports to Project Lead and Executive Management, generate intellectual property applications and scientific publications.Maintain laboratory records, electronic files, and laboratory notebooks to support experimental studies and intellectual property development.Assist team members as necessary to complete divisional goals.Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with lab/OSHA policies/procedures.

Qualifications:
Solid understanding of cell immunoassay development, cellular and molecular biology. Preference will be given to candidates with immunology expertise.In depth, hands-on experience with multiparameter flow-cytometry is required. Research experience in ELISA/Luminex multiplex platforms is desired.Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), FlowJo and Graph-pad Prism.Ability to work both independently and in project team setting.Must be goal-oriented and capable of efficient multiple tasking in a fast-moving start-up environment.Practical knowledge and/or product development experience is preferred.
