Our client, a banking company, is seeking a Supply Chain (SC) Sustainable Sourcing/Environmental, Social and Governance Program Manager
Location: New York, NYPosition Type: Contract
Job Summary:
The Supply Chain (SC) Sustainable Sourcing/Environmental, Social and Governance Program Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing the programmatic structure of environmental, social, and corporate governance policies and procedures within the Supply Chain organization. This includes revamping workflows and operational models so that the existing process better aligns with organizational functions partners both within the supply chain and other areas of the firm.
This individual will work with colleagues and stakeholders across the firm to ensure effective project management and controls are in place to drive supply chain practices relative to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations. This is includes supply chain sustainability and supplier diversity. This individual will also partner with the Third Party Utility and Third Party Management and Sourcing to ensure organizational oversight and compliance with all applicable third-party risk elements which can be attributed to ESG criteria.

Key responsibilities of this role include the ability to:
  • Lead efforts to strengthen the Global Supply Chain Sustainability process, including building awareness, new programs, enhanced reporting and testing, where applicable.
  • Manage, lead, and collaborate on environmental and sustainability projects end-to-end. As required, gathering business and functional requirements, and technical specifications. Ensure detailed project milestones are developed and track meeting all deadlines associated with the Sustainable Progress Strategy, ESG Report and general global compliance requirements.
  • Work with Sourcing and the lines of business to incorporate additional ESG factors into the supplier selection process.
  • Research emerging ESG themes and policy areas and coordinate quarterly Did You Know (DYK) sessions.
  • Manage the implementation of sustainable practices and procedures which model the Corporate Sustainability and ESG Goals.
  • Work across business functions to ensure global, regional and local alignment regulatory requirements are met.
  • Support the compliance with environmental legislation and maintain contact with appropriate external organizations/agencies to strengthen the position in the marketplace.
  • Proven program management and analytical experience. Track record of working with a variety of disclosure frameworks, reporting indices and applicable industry trends and standards.
  • Engage with Analytics and Third Party Utility teams to provide initial and quarterly spend/ revenue updates the supplier frameworks.
  • Work with the Risk and Compliance, TPRM, Procurement Support, and Analytics team as applicable to develop an auditing and reporting process.
  • In line with market requirements, oversee updates to Corporate Responsibility Questionnaire (CRQ)
  • Manage the Corporate Responsibility Questionnaire (CRQ) tracking and reporting process, including creation of monthly reports which provide actional data on global supplier responses, potential gaps and risks. Maintain a current dashboard for management consumption.
  • Lead efforts to evaluate risks identified through the Corporate Responsibility Questionnaire. Develop escalation processes and initiate remediation efforts.
  • Partner with Sourcing and business managers to review, assess, and minimize risk identified through CRQ scoring.
  • Work collaboratively with Learning and Development to develop Corporate and RMO ESG specific training
  • Work collaboratively with various teams across the firm and create as well as maintain presentation materials, and/or applicable communication necessary for key stakeholders.
  • Safeguard the client, its clients, assets and reputation. Consistently assess risk by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years relevant experience including regulatory compliance
  • Project Management expertise
  • Background in Supply Chain Management with experience in Environmental Sciences/Human Rights preferred
  • Proven experience in corporate responsibility, responsible sourcing and a clear understanding and expertise in supply chain sustainability analysis and performance metrics
  • Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws relative to EPA statutes, regulatory compliance and guidelines
  • Outstanding communication and influencing skills through all levels of an organization and with external partners and vendors.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex topics to a broad audience both in written and oral form
  • Detailed oriented with analytical skills, as the role requires a large amount of data manipulation, coordination of information and presentation.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Experience in e-learning and content development of training materials
  • Experience and proven success in building new processes/rolling out enhancements to existing processes.
  • Experience in procurement, third party management, and contracting processes.
Education:
  • Bachelors/University degree, Master's degree preferred.
  • PMP desired
