Job Description:

The Department of Biology at SUNY Old Westbury regularly seeks to hire Adjunct Instructors to teach courses as needed in the department.

Candidates for adjunct positions should have a record of high-quality teaching. Knowledge and evidence of use of active learning in teaching. Candidates should have experience teaching a culturally diverse student population.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

* A minimum of a Master's degree or ABD in Biology.
* Teaching experience at the college level.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Ph.D. in Biology or related discipline.
* Upper division teaching experience at the college level.
* Experience teaching a culturally diverse student population.

Additional Information:

The successful candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
