About the PositionVHB is seeking an Environmental Aviation/Airport Planner with proven experience in NEPA and sustainability projects to join our Aviation team in Orlando, FL! This is an exciting opportunity for a talented, collaborative, and innovative problem-solver with a passion for the aviation industry and airports who wants to build a dynamic career in Aviation and Environmental Planning with a nationally recognized company. This position allows for professional growth and leadership through challenging and rewarding projects for a variety of aviation-related clients and services. This position requires COVID-19 vaccination per client requirements. ResponsibilitiesProject management for complex airport planning, environmental and sustainability-related aviation planning studiesResearch, analysis, and creation of aviation planning documents including but limited to: Airport sustainability management plansNEPA, FAA Section 163 Master plans, terminal area plansAssist the director of aviation services with business developmentSkills and Attributes Skills and AttributesSkills and AttributesSkills and Attributes QualificationsBachelor's degree in Planning or related field from an accredited college or university5 - 10 or more years of experience in Aviation Planning/Environmental projects (master plans, EAs, EIS, Facility Planning)Well-versed in NEPA process for projects at all sizes of airportsExperience with monitoring scope, schedule, and budget for task ordersAbility to coordinate with other VHB service lines to position for projects at key airportsBe active in the aviation industry by being a thought leader and involved in service organizations.Ability to travel as requiredPreferred Qualifications:NEPA experienceExperience working with FAA and State DOTsAAAE CM, ENV SP, LEED, AICP, or other planning/environmental/sustainability-related certificationsProject management experienceExperience with business development and proposal writing Ability to deliver technical innovation and bring extraordinary value to our aviation clientsActive in the Aviation industry by being a thought leader and involved in service organizationsActively participate in developing aviation business opportunities throughout the United StatesExperience mentoring aviation environmental/planning staffTwo or more years of experience in Airport Master PlanningFamiliarity with sustainability and resiliency plansVHB is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
