· Conduct screening of root traits to identify genetic mechanisms that lead to optimal root systems for carbon sequestration

Plant DNA Biology Research Assistant Responsibilities:

· Genotypes and phenotypes of plants
· Prepares buffers, media, and lab stocks
· Optimizes imaging protocols and performs data analysis
· Inventory supplies
· Performs molecular biology techniques to look at gene expression & function

Plant DNA Biology Research Assistant Requirements:

· 0-2 years related lab experience or equivalent combination of education or experience
· Experience with caring for plants preferred
· Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, or equivalent combination of education or experience
· Ability to operate and maintain various lab equipment
· Highly organized, effective at multitasking, adept at juggling changing priorities
