Description:
Role and Responsibilities
Function as the plant's primary point of contact for the environmental department
Manage waste and recycling at plant site
Manage the plant's emergency planning and community right-to-know act (epcra) requirements
Oversee plant oil and chemical storage / spcc or swppp
Oversee annual requirements for plant material consumption/annual reporting
Maintain site environmental contacts list
Manage environmental related communications
Manage plant regulatory compliance inspections or audits (internal and external)
Schedule Plant "Targeted Area Environmental Walk Downs
Maintain site environmental compliance records files or data
Monitor site construction projects to insure wetland and waterway resources are protected
Manage site wpdes and water quality requirements
Assist tsg chemistry with department of homeland security chemical facility anti-terrorism standards (cfats) compliance
Manage the wildlife at company facilities program
Manage the plant's air quality requirements
Assist in troubleshooting environmental compliance issues with plant and/or corporate personnel
Qualifications and Education requirements
Applicant must have a valid driver's license and meet the company's requirements for driving
Associate degree in chemistry / chemical processing technician is preferred
Preferred skills
Effective organizational and interpersonal skills are required
Successful candidates must be able to work on multiple projects/priorities and demonstrate the ability to learn
Advanced course work in engineering, electrical or mechanical technology, or related disciplines is considered a plus
