Description:
PART-TIME
Responsible for the daily functions that support the testing of raw materials, in-process samples, environmental monitoring, and finished goods.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with company and specifications, quality standards, and global regulations in support of multiple businesses.
Interns will spend time shadowing multiple departments to develop and gain valuable experience for both their school and career.
Key responsibilities:
Responsible for putting the safety of themselves and their team first in every aspect of their job functions
Responsible for assisting Analysts in testing and collecting samples for Hard Cap (HC) and Dosage Form Solutions (Client) businesses, including raw materials, in-process, environmental monitoring, finished goods, and stability; in accordance with current USP and other regulatory requirements
Responsible for maintaining the data trending for environmental monitoring program
Assists with general laboratory housekeeping, including 6S principles
Assists in the preparation of media and ensures sufficient quantities are available for testing
Assists in the monitoring inventory and ensuring proper levels are maintained
Assists with equipment calibration and verification
Supports Analysts and Microbiologists with HC and Client validation execution and testing
Supports special projects related to microbiology laboratory and continuous improvement
Key requirements:
Junior or Senior enrolled in a Bachelors of Biological Science or similar program required
Experience with balances, pH meters, incubators, autoclaves, laminar-flow hoods is preferred
Strong proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
Strong and professional communication skills (written and verbal)
Must be highly organized, detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects
Additional Information
The expected time commitment is 16-24 hours a week. Hours are flexible.
