FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Performs teaching and related faculty functions in area(s) of expertise.
Lecturer (Doctoral Schedule)will teach mainly at the undergraduate level in the Department of Biological Sciences. The successful candidate will be expected to modify courses and assess the modifications for improved student learning.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. degree in biology, biology/sciences education, or a related discipline and experience with teaching molecular biology and genetics is required, including the integration of technology into the classroom. The ability to teach biochemistry at the undergraduate level is desirable. Lecturer educational mission should align with that of Hunter College, to provide a rigorous and well-rounded education to a diverse, urban population. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
Vaccine Requirement
Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment.

$55,677-$96,351
