Position Summary: The University of Wisconsin-Platteville, Biology Department seeks applications for a full-time visiting professor position. This will be a 100%, 9-month appointment, offering competitive salary and excellent benefits. This position reports to the Biology Department Chair and begins August 2022.

Teach undergraduate, biology courses.

Teaching responsibilities will include teaching lecture and laboratory sections of Microbiology. Time outside the classroom will be required for student access, course preparation and instructor meetings. Additionally, will complete tasks related to teaching for the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters degree or equivalent in biology or closely related field from an accredited institution completed by September 1, 2022
Demonstrable skills in oral and written communications
A strong commitment to undergraduate education required

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior teaching experience
Background experience with hands-on laboratory exercises preferred

The department offers an undergraduate degree in biology with emphases in botany, cytotechnology, ecology, health sciences, molecular/genetics, secondary education, and zoology.
