Job description: This chemical production company is looking for an experienced EHS Engineer for its modern production facility. This person will be a technical resource for 24/7 plant production. This EHS Engineer will maintain compliance with environmental regulations, including recordkeeping, filing tier-II reports, air permitting, updating SPCC plan, stormwater, etc.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Provide analytical-based expertise such as sample collection, lab analysis data interpretations, and data reporting/submission to address EHS needs
Assist with planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of environmental, health, and safety programs
Assist in self-audits with the company leadership team
Assist with compliance with Cal ARP and RMP programs including internal compliance audits and Process Hazard Analysis
Works with Operations and Maintenance department heads to identify EH&S training needs and improvements

Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering
3-10 Years of EH&S in a Chemical Manufacturing Environment
Prior Experience Working with CAL-OSHA, Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD), and California Regulatory Requirements Preferred
Strong Problem-Solving Skills
