Environmental Health Safety Coordinator

ENVIRONMENTAL HEATLH & SAFETY COORDINATOR NEEDED - NAPOLEON, OHIO AREA

A growing and profitable Automotive Supplier in the Napoleon, Ohio area is in need of an Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Vacation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for leading all Health, Safety, & Environmental activities. The Coordinator ensures compliance with and trains employees on all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.

Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices such as; utilizing personal protective equipment and proper attire in keeping with safety standards.

Comply with all QMS / EMS / ISO procedures and work instructions as it pertains to the position description.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

Maintain a team-oriented working environment that allows for individual differences and provides for individual growth.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies and procedure manuals and operating instructions.

Advanced computer skills with emphasis on MS Office product

Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as problem solving skills

Change agent fostering a culture of "Safety First" in alignment with the Company's HSE policy statement

Five (5) to ten (10) years of safety experience in a manufacturing Setting Required.

MVPP program implementation and working knowledge DuPont Stop, Malcolm Baldridge, OSHA's 18001 development and implementation experience and knowledge.

Bachelors of Science in Occupational or Industrial H&S Degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent) required P.E. registration, IOSH_RSP, CSP, CIH, CHP or CRSP certification preferred
