Description
Quigg Engineering (QEI) was formed in 2006, and is a respected fast growing, multi-disciplined engineering and surveying firm providing outstanding services in Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana, and Florida. Specializing in roadway, bridges, structures, surveying, site development, construction inspection, environmental studies & permitting, and transportation. Our clients include state DOTs, toll authorities, local agencies, utilities, and private developers.
Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
· Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance
· Analyze and report on environmental issues in human and natural systems. This may include social and economic issues, natural resource studies, wetlands field investigations, and threatened/endangered species and habitat studies
· Develop storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP) and conduct field inspections
· Develop project reports in support of field investigations
· Coordinate with federal and state environmental resource agencies
· Project Management
· Participate in public meetings
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in environmental science, a physical science, or civil or environmental engineering
· 5+ years of experience in environmental studies
· Familiarity with NEPA and its processes
· Familiarity with natural resources, wetlands, threatened/endangered species field investigations
· Familiarity with environmental permitting (US Army Corps of Engineers, US Fish and Wildlife Service, US Environmental Protection Agency) preferred
· Excellent technical writing skills
· Experience with Illinois DOT and/or local agencies. Experience with IA/MO/WI/IN/KY DOTs or Local Public Agencies a plus
· ArcGIS experience a plus
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
· Experience and technical leadership skills in environmental studies and permitting
