Turn Biotechnologies is currently seeking a qualified, highly motivated individual for the position of Associate Scientist/Scientist - Biology.

This person will be a highly motivated and responsible individual whose primary purpose is to perform and assist with experiments, analyze data, maintain records, manage projects, maintain lab operations, and other duties as required to meet company goals.

Based in Mountain View, California, Turn Biotechnologies, Inc. is a development-stage company focused on restoring cells' youthful vigor to repair damage caused by the aging process. Using a proprietary ERA™ Platform, we develop mRNA medicines that are specially formulated to instruct specific cells in the body to fight disease or repair damaged tissue. We do this by reprogramming the epigenome to restore cell function that people often lose as they age. This approach can be used to revitalize different cells throughout the body. We are researching its applicability across multiple therapeutic areas, including dermatology, ophthalmology, osteocartilage, and skeletal muscular indications.

Essential duties of the position include:

? Development of in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models to evaluate delivery, transfection efficiency, and efficacy of mRNA therapeutics

? Establishment and implementation of various methods of analysis including imaging, immunofluorescence microscopy, immunocytometry, flow cytometry, FACS, qRT-PCR, ELISA, Western blots

? Analysis of data and preparation of recommendations to cross-functional collaborators and project teams to efficiently advance discovery efforts

? Organize data, maintain detailed records, and effectively communicate results

? Develop, validate, and write laboratory protocols and technical reports

? Collaborate effectively with other team members and across company programs

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

? PhD. in Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field with 2+ years post-degree experience or MS with 8+ years industry experience

? Strong understanding of cell biology, preferably cellular models and pathways relevant to Dermatology

? Expertise in common cell biology techniques, including cell culture, transfections, ELISAs, reporter assays, proliferation/cytotoxicity assays, co-immunoprecipitation, and western blots

? Experience in small (rodent) animal handling and tissue evaluation

? Experience with immunofluorescence, cell imaging, and/or flow cytometry is a plus

Preferred, Not Required Qualifications

? In addition to dermatology, experience in one or more of the focal application areas: Immunology, skeletal muscular, and oncology will be a plus, but not essential

? Background in mRNA therapeutics testing
