Department Summary
The Environmental Studies Program (ENVS) is an interdisciplinary program in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) at the University of Oregon (UO). The program offers undergraduate majors in Environmental Studies and Environmental Science, a minor in Environmental Studies and supports the Food studies minor, a masters in Environmental Studies and a PhD in Environmental Science, Studies and Policy. Currently, ENVS has approximately 31 graduate students, 336 Environmental Studies majors, 280 Environmental Science majors, 77 Environmental Studies minors and 35 Food Studies minors.
Graduate and undergraduate seminars, courses and internships are offered through the program. A committee of faculty members advises the program director, who determines program direction and policy. Additionally, many faculty from various disciplines (with environmentally-related research interests) provide program support by teaching courses, participating on committees and advising students.
Position Summary
Environmental Studies is seeking applicants for its open research pool.
Positions are limited duration appointments (typically one academic term or 10 weeks) potentially renewable for up to a total of three years. In limited circumstances, there is the possibility of renewal beyond three years based on programmatic need, funding, and performance.

Preferred Qualifications Masters degree Experience conducting research in a relevant field
