Atelier Ten is looking for a full-time Senior Environmental Designer with project manager experience to join our San Francisco office. We're an international environmental design consultancy creating high-performance, sustainable, award-winning buildings. Buildings that give back to the wider environment, don't waste resources and make people feel good. You'll work with ambitious clients on creating highly sustainable buildings and portfolios.
We are looking for someone to consult on and manage large projects with support from Designers and Design Staff. This role will focus on working directly with building and portfolio owners, helping them set sustainability goals for their campuses and buildings and implement them over time. You be client-facing often, and your work will involve coordination with our clients, external consultants and our internal consulting staff. You need to be knowledgeable about sustainable building strategies and technologies, green building rating systems, plus have deep knowledge of the design and construction process.
You'll be responsible for successful project delivery, including, but not limited to: independent, proactive project planning, client management and communication, design and contractor team coordination. client presentations and meetings, working with Atelier Ten's technical analysis teams to support your projects, technical report writing and review, project fee forecasting and resource planning, and effective internal team coordination and management. You'll also be responsible for authoring project deliverables such as reports, memos, technical studies, graphic illustrations and drawings on topics including daylighting, energy and water use, sustainable materials, embodied carbon, and more. As such, excellent written and verbal communication is imperative.

Qualified candidates ideally possess:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in a field related to environmental building design, architecture, architectural engineering, and/ or building science
- 5-10 years' professional experience in an architecture or sustainability consulting firm
- LEED AP with specialty certification preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Rhino or graphics software (Adobe Illustrator and InDesign) a plus
- Effective time and budget management capability
- Strong technical and business writing skills
- Good verbal and inter-personal ability
