Peninsula College is recruiting for a full-time temporary Environmental and Life Sciences faculty position to begin Fall Quarter 2022. The college is seeking applications from dedicated teacher-scholars to teach and provide instructional leadership in the Natural Sciences. Applicants with community college teaching experience and/or experience teaching introductory courses in biology, environmental science, marine biology, zoology, and botany are especially encouraged to apply. The ability to coordinate and teach courses for the Honors program is desirable. Position begins September 2022.
We are looking for a dynamic teacher-scholar who can communicate effectively with a highly diverse student population. Primary teaching duties will be Survey of Biology, Introduction to Marine Biology, Introduction to Botany, Plants of the Pacific Northwest, Survey of Environmental Science, and Introduction to Zoology, with the opportunity to develop other courses that align with areas of expertise. Courses are offered in face-to-face, online, and hybrid class environments.
