Summary:

Pheast is seeking a talented and highly motivated Associate Scientist to join our Biology group. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills with a background in cancer immunology, and will be expected to work in a fast-paced, nimble startup, and effectively collaborate with colleagues across scientific teams to advance preclinical drug development. This position will report to the Director, Biology.

Responsibilities:

Position responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and validate assays relevant to myeloid cell immunotherapy targets
  • Plan, execute, analyze, and interpret in vitro assays for target validation and drug lead selection
  • Analyze and interpret in vivo assays for target validation and drug lead selection
  • Accurately document and present research findings to colleagues at team meetings
  • Collaborate closely with Protein Science team, Discovery team, and other functional areas, contributing wherever necessary to advance Pheast programs
  • Help to establish and promote an inclusive, collaborative, and innovation driven company


Qualifications:

  • M.S. in biochemistry, biology or related field with 6+ years of experience
  • Hands on experience in immuno-oncology techniques (including multi-color flow cytometry, microscopy-based assays, and primary immune cell functional assays)
  • Proficiency in utilizing software such as GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, Microsoft Office etc. for data analysis and figure generation
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational and record keeping skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
