Summary:
Pheast is seeking a talented and highly motivated Associate Scientist to join our Biology group. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills with a background in cancer immunology, and will be expected to work in a fast-paced, nimble startup, and effectively collaborate with colleagues across scientific teams to advance preclinical drug development. This position will report to the Director, Biology.

The successful candidate will have strong technical skills with a background in cancer immunology, and will be expected to work in a fast-paced, nimble startup, and effectively collaborate with colleagues across scientific teams to advance preclinical drug development. This position will report to the Director, Biology.
Responsibilities:
Position responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and validate assays relevant to myeloid cell immunotherapy targets
- Plan, execute, analyze, and interpret in vitro assays for target validation and drug lead selection
- Analyze and interpret in vivo assays for target validation and drug lead selection
- Accurately document and present research findings to colleagues at team meetings
- Collaborate closely with Protein Science team, Discovery team, and other functional areas, contributing wherever necessary to advance Pheast programs
- Help to establish and promote an inclusive, collaborative, and innovation driven company
Qualifications:
- M.S. in biochemistry, biology or related field with 6+ years of experience
- Hands on experience in immuno-oncology techniques (including multi-color flow cytometry, microscopy-based assays, and primary immune cell functional assays)
- Proficiency in utilizing software such as GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, Microsoft Office etc. for data analysis and figure generation
- Attention to detail with strong organizational and record keeping skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
