The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Engineering, Test & Technology (ET&T) & Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join the team in either Renton, WA; Auburn, WA; Bellevue, WA; Berkeley, MO; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; El Segundo, CA; Everett, WA; Huntington Beach, CA; Huntsville, AL; Long Beach, CA; Mesa, AZ; North Charleston, SC; Oklahoma City, OK; Plano, TX; Ridley Park, PA; Seal Beach, CA; Seattle, WA; or San Antonio, TX.

The manager will develop coordinated department plans in conjunction with Boeing policies and regulatory requirements. The selected candidate is responsible for the integration activities across the diverse work statement of ET&T which includes, but is not limited to:
  • Boeing Research and Technology
  • Boeing Test and Evaluation (Flight and Lab Test)
  • AvionX
  • Support to Non-Fully Integrates Subsidiaries
  • Planning and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Programs/Processes and System Safety analysis as applicable


Position Responsibilities:
  • Handles and integrates employee and first-level manager activities across more than one environmental, occupational, health and safety subject area
  • Activities led include the planning and implementation of environmental, occupational, health and safety programs/processes, environmental property assessment and remediation, chemical analysis, evaluation of chemical processing activities and/or related support functions
  • Develops and implements coordinated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers


This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience in leading informal and/or formal teams
  • 5+ years of experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting research and/or testing environment (lab/flight)


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals
