*Main Purpose: *

Marken Regulatory compliance division is currently seeking a Security, Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator to join our team. This position is based in our Los Angeles area office location.

*Job Description: *

The EHS Coordinator will be responsible for providing security, environmental, health, and safety leadership to operations and work with over 100 employees. In this role you will be accountable for overseeing the daily operation of site safety and sustainability programs including maintaining compliance with DOT/DG, ISO 14001 and OSHA regulations at the local level. The EHS coordinator will function as a member of the Regulatory compliance team and will report to the Security Officer.

*Essential Security Functions: *
* Assure compliance with EHS laws and regulations (OSHA, DOT, Dangerous Goods, EPA etc.) implement internal safety policies and procedures, and implement directives to achieve the ISO 14001 certification.
* Collaborate with management and employees to report and investigate injuries, near misses and other events to determine root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
* Analyze and maintain EHS data (Facility KPI's, Sustainability KPI's, Accident Data) and prepare regular EHS regulatory compliance reporting, both internal and external.
* Contribute to internal and external EHS inspections and audits. Includes but not limited to forklifts, sustainability checklists, PPE, emergency response equipment, security, ergonomics, etc.
* Improve employee EHS awareness by providing training, preparing employees to deal with emergencies, and promote a zero-incident culture.
* Provide technical guidance to employees regarding environmental, health and safety related issues or concerns, and regulatory compliance. Specifically, DG and chemical management and chemical inventory and storage management.
* Monitor, assess, and guide the safe work of contracted employees and services to complete projects for maintenance, construction, fabrication, or machining work.
* Conduct site wide risk assessments and job hazard assessments.
* Support multiple locations in the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas.

*Qualifications: *
* Bachelor's degree in related field to safety, security, or EHS from an accredited institution.
* 2+ years of experience in Environment, Health and Safety related role.
* General knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations (OSHA, DOT, DG, ecovadis, ISO14001 etc.).
* Computer skills in Microsoft office products Excel, word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Ability to present and conduct training to large groups.
* Bonus if knowledge on DOT and dangerous goods requirements.
* Combination of education, experience, and required knowledge to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities to accomplish the job.
* Ability to travel 10% or more as needed for the role.

* The Individual should be comfortable working independently, have effective time management, and be able to manage multiple activities occurring simultaneously.
* Must be capable of producing written reports, using excel to capture and collect data, and creating PowerPoint trainings.
* This is not a remote position and individuals must be comfortable with working in a warehouse type setting. While performing the duties of this job the employee may be exposed to work near mechanical parts, forklifts, and chemicals. The employee may be required to stand and walk around facility several times a day.
