Biology Lab Technician / Pharma Industry

Our client, a world-leading Pharmaceutical Company in Chesterfield, MO is currently looking for a Biology Lab Technician to join their expanding team.
Position Details:

• Job Title: Biology Lab Technician / Pharma Industry
• Duration: 12 months contract, extendable up to 36 months
• Location: Chesterfield, MO

Job Description:

• The contractor will work under the supervision of an upstream senior scientist to evaluate Client approaches for plasmid transfections in a mammalian cell line.
• This role will require knowledge in basic mammalian cell culture techniques to support automation of high-throughput bioreactor systems.
• The contractor will be responsible for executing day-to-day experimentations, including handling of risk group 2 viruses, and will be expected to participate in designing experiments, data analysis and interpretation, documentation, and group presentations. The contractor will acquire understanding and working knowledge in current gene therapy process development challenges and efforts.
• Record keeping experience required. Must be familiar with general safety procedure and guidelines.
• Must be self motivated and have a strong attention to detail. Good communication skills required.

• Basic science knowledge is needed. training will be provided so extra knowledge/ hands on experience is a bonus.

Comments:

• Onsite (will need to adhere to return to site policy) M-F, 1st shift. no OT. hard stop at 40 hours a week.

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor of Science in cell biology or engineering disciplines
• Will consider Associates with 3+ yr. full time work exp.
• MS is okay as well
