Job Description

Job Summary

The QMED is responsible to stop all activities whenever the safety of the crew, the ship or the environment is endangered or an unsafe, conflicting or non-conforming situation arises.

Job Responsibilities
  • To execute the safety- and environmental policy on board
  • Always to comply with (inter)national legislation, flag state requirements, accepted industry standards, Company decrees and contracts
  • To perform, all assigned activities including maintenance, vessel conservation, cleaning, tidying and all Engine Room activities
  • Able to undertake the tasks, duties and responsibilities as a Oiler/Motorman as per STCW;

Job Requirements
  • Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
  • Possess the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel
  • Knowledge of the applicable codes, guidelines and standards
  • Knowledge of the equipment and procedures he is responsible for.
  • Local statutory regulations in the country of seafarer
  • STCW for this position required certificates and licenses
  • Training as per Company Training Matrix.
  • TWIC Certified
  • MMC certificate
